It is surprisingly ignorant of liberals to think that they
are the ones waging a war against ISIS and terrorism, accusing Islam as a whole
of such barbaric actions. Proposing - as a solution, to stop Islam from
spreading, and trying to “customize” the religion in to their own appeal.
If they had the trouble in looking in to the history of Islam
they would clearly see how false this accusation is.
It's obvious they haven't stumbled upon the rise of the khawarij
(outlaws) in the 3rd caliphate's era, and how they were ISIS of their times,
how Prophet ﷺ warned us about them.
How the 4th caliphate Ali exhausted all possibilities to change the
khawarij's violent ideology before fighting them in the battle of Nahrawan.
Islamic scholars ever since then have been warning Muslims from
terrorism and violence. Until today, and the Islamic affairs in all Islamic
countries are warning about ISIS, in Friday prayers, lectures, publications, and
social media. Saudi alone is spending billions on just awareness, they have special centers to change terrorist ideologies. It is truly absurd to say Saudi is funding terrorism! The whole Gulf is aware that they have a problem, some of their citizens are joining ISIS, Saudi is suffering the most from this. It makes no sense to claim that a country would fund terrorism and supply it with it's own people against their allies and simultaneously, spend millions to try and stop it! are you aware -at least- of the economical loss this will cause?
You want to beat ISIS? Then understand Islam from the right
sources, read history, and then you can propose a solution. You must know the
root cause before jumping in to the solutions. Trying to change or weaken Islam
will only worsen the situation - ignorance will spread about Islam, ISIS will
have more reason to lure ignorant Muslims in to believing that they are
actually an Islamic state! On the contrary, help Muslims spread the true
meaning of Islam; that is how you can help in killing terrorism. Muslims will
then be aware that ISIS is selling them an illusion called “Islam State”,
nothing more. This will weaken ISIS, making it easier for the world to stop
them.
